Kamen Bryag is a combination of a
sea with shading green and blue
nuances, a beautiful panorama, and a
crystal pure air. People have lived
here for thousands of years in
harmony with nature and they have
preserved untouched beauties and
amazing abundance of plants and
animals in combination with cultural

luxury. The hosts will welcome you

The village is known for its thick
home-made wine and the rakia with a
flavor of herbs and figs. The
evenings are lovely here under the
breeze in a friendly company. In
Trite Kestena (The Three Chestnuts)
or Yanitsa - the local restaurants -
you will be offered a number of
dishes, often served before your
eyes.

The day in Kamen Bryag might be
short if you like fishing, diving or
bird watching, if you like
archaeology or bioenergy. Alone at
the rocky coast and the steep cliffs
you can enjoy the sun, your passion
for fishing, or else do climbing,
diving, or paragliding.
The Stone Coast, named “Yaylata” is
located 2km from the village and
about 60km north of Varna. It lies
on the sea coast between the
beautiful Kaliakra and Shabla capes.
Although Yaylata is a bit far from
the most popular resorts and hence
is little known as a tourist
attraction, it is one of the most
amazing places along the Bulgarian
coast.
|
 |
|
It represents an oval ledge, broken
off the Dobrudja plate by the coast.
The big cliffs make this area almost
inaccessible, except via a few
narrow paths among the rocks. About
40 caves can be found in the
vertical cliffs hanging over the
sea. Their smoothened walls and
niches dug deep into the rock speak
about the existence of an ancient
cave settlement there. There are
also remains of a stronghold dating
back to Roman and Byzantine times. A
90 ha region is declared a protected
archeological area.
The Yaylata area can be accessed by
car, while most of the caves can be
reached only by professional
speleologists. |
